Today is such a happy day, filled with hope of things to come. We look forward to watching how your life will continue to unfold - go out into the world Ashley, make great choices, and make a difference in your life and in the lives of others.

I can't help but think about your great grandparents today. How they would be beaming with pride at what you have accomplished. They are also with you today, smiling from the heavens and wishing you the best life has to offer.

As for Pop Pop and I - we are proud beyond words. As I am writing this message I have tears streaming down my face - it is a very exciting and emotional day for all of us. Happy 23rd Birthday Ashley!

Ashley - what an amazing day it was, just being able to spend some time with you at the Bucs facility. I must say I was in awe of the people, the presentation, the pictures, the large plates in the cafeteria with the Bucs emblem, the displays and everything else from the minute we walked into the building until we left. You looked like you've been there all your life, and those around you were extended family. Everyone we came in contact with had nothing but praise of your strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Words cannot truly express how proud we are of you and the choices you've made!

Ashley - God has already blessed you greatly. What were the odds that you would be considered for an internship with the Bucs out of 1200 applicants? What were the odds that you would be selected as the Community Relations intern out of over 300 applicants? You have been given the privilege of touching hundreds of lives through your position - partnering with United Way, American Heart & Lung Association, Breast Cancer Awareness, Metropolitan Ministries and other powerful and high profile organizations who care about those in need. I think about your weekly Tuesday ritual with two of the players and United Way. Being in the position to surprise a family with a shopping spree at Target. I just can't imagine a better feeling than seeing the joy on the faces of the recipients. You have seen first hand what it means to reach out and help others...and you will always hold those memories in your heart and mind. We encourage you to continue reaching out and helping those less fortunate - this is one of the many amazing gifts God has blessed you with.

"This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, Love to complete your life."

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl - always remember how much we love you!

Love and Best Wishes,
Nana and Pop Pop
